Navy awards $30,000,000 IDIQ contract for Crew Served Weapons Systems to PLSMFG
Precision Laser Services, Inc. Fort Wayne, Ind. and four others are each being awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with a maximum value of $30,000,000 for crew-served weapons gun mounts used in force protection roles. Crew-served weapons gun mounts and stands are being procured to support Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps in various applications. Work performed under these contracts is expected to be completed by May 2016. This contract combines purchases for the Navy and the governments of Bangladesh, Columbia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the Republic of Cape Verde under the Foreign Military Sales Program. This contract was competitively procured as a total small business set-aside with 18 offers received via the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.
